If you are currently running Internet Explorer 7, click TOOLS, scroll down to INTERNET OPTIONS and click it, click on the PROGRAMS tab, look down and where it says DEFAULT WEB BROWSER, and click the MAKE DEFAULT button.

If you have Internet Explorer 6, I recommend that you download Internet Explorer 7, when the installation is complete and you open Internet Explorer 7, it will ask you to make Internet Explorer default. I currently have Firefox 1.5 as default and I change Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 1.5 as my default browser many times.

If you are the stubborn type and want to keep Internet Explorer 6, click on TOOLS, then INTERNET OPTIONS, click the PROGRAMS tab, check the box which says "Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser." Close the Interner Explorer window and re-open it. A message should appear which asks if you want to make Internet Explorer the default browser, accept it and there you go, Internet Explorer is now the default browser.

Again, you should trust me on this because I have a lot of experience with computers and am a software engineer in training.

    Thank You

Why would you want to do such a thing?
