Why do ants gather around spilt milk but not around spilt softdrinks?

Ants do gather around spilt softdrinks. However the softdrinks you might have seen may have a less obvious odor ( though not likely since ants can smell better than dogs ), or they may have low sugar content and the ants aren't onto diet coke.
Probably coincidence that you have seen ants around milk since the milk is white and contrasts with the black ants.
I don't suppose the ants are trying to build up strong bones are they?
