I want to start watching the show "House," but I need a summary!?

I am not so good with names but I am fair with summaries.

To begin with the story is about House, a specialist in Diagnostic Medicine at a teaching hospital in Princeton. His basic philosophy is that all patients lie, so he never wants to talk to them unless he absolutely has to. He has a problem listening to authority. His main concern is fixing problem. He doesn't care what he has to do to fix those problem. He often has his staff break into patient's houses. He occasionally likes to torture patients into tell him the truth. He has one bad leg, the result of mistreatment by the hospital chief and his ex wife. He is addicted to morphine for cronic pain in that leg. He lives alone, loves music, rides a motorcycle, and still hasn't fully given up on his ex wife.

His boss's name is Cutty. She is responsible for his bad leg and will probably never fire him. She is currently looking to find a sperm donor to get her pregnant. House is a prime candidate. Especially since he has taken an interest in the idea.

House's best friend is the oncologist,cancer specialist. He is the second best candidate for father of Cutty's baby. He has no morals win it comes to sex. He has been cheating on his wife and she knows it so they are about to get divorced. He has been living with House who loves it because he can cook and House can't. He sleeps with his patient's. And he works as House's humanizing element.

House has three staff member, the most important of which is Cameron, the young lady who wants to have sex with him. She is a Rumatologist, blood specialist. She is a widow of a man who died of cancer making her always succeptible to patient's feelings. She is the caring one. She has mistakingly slept with one of her cowokers, the good looking brittish doctor.

Let's move on to him. He is the sone of a wealthy father, now deceased from cancer. He is the cardiologist/ surgeon. He kissed a young female patient becasue she played the I am going to die card on him. She didn't die. He slept with Cameron when she got drunk one night. Everybody knows about it. he has relationship issues dating back to his strained relationship with his parents. He is easily manipulated and some what gullible.

The third and final fellow , is the black guy who is alot like House in his behavior up until he recently was infected with a parasite and nearly died. Prior to that he had written a paper on one of Cameron's cases and showed her up in that manner. She forgave him only because he was dying. He made her is advocate so that he wouldn't be lobotomized by House. House wanted to do a brain biopsy on his living body. In the past he was used as House's boss while House was being sued for malpractice. He is a Neurologist, brain guy, and that makes sense. It covers all the basics of anatomy, nerves, muscles, and diseases.

ONe more person, House's ex wife who okayed the surgery that cost him is leg divorceed him because he never forgave her. It made him cynacle. He never stopped loving her and she recently returned with her new husband who House had to cure. He did but the husband became imbittered in the process. She worked ast the hospital as legal council. They wound up sleeping together on a road trip. But, eventually House recognized that she did love her new husband and he her. So, she is out of the picture for now.

As to tomorrow, House was shot at season's end by a patient's husband and is going into surgery. He has requested a radical treatment be used because in his dreams he figured out a cure for his pain and physical inability. So when they finish the surgery he should be able to walk. He still needs to get laid. You have three women who want him. And of course, there will always be more lying patients to amuse him.

This is the 3rd Season. I didn't watch any of Season 1 and I caught the second half of Season 2. Which I enjoyed. Now I love the show. U never know what to expect from House hes a character. U should check the show out its awesome! Check the links below for info. on the show. Hope its helpful.

There has been 2 seasons. Dr. House unravels mysteries to save lives. He is dependant on vicodin for a leg injury he had when he was younger. He tells it like it is if you don't like it he does'nt care. The other characters are Cameron (she has a thing for house) Chase ( he is just the eye candy for the women) And Dr. Foreman( He is the neurologist of the group) Anyways, they all fight and agree with each other to find a cure for the patient. The reason it's so good is because a common cold could turn into a deadly disease that only House and his crew can figure out, sometimes succesful other times not! You must go buy season 1 and season 2 I have both. I promise you will not be let down :)

The third season starts tomorrow. The show is set in a teaching hospital, and House is a doctor of infectious diseases. Each week he and his team (Cameron, Chase and Foreman) must try to find the cause and treat a patient. House is joined by his best friend Wilson, and his boss, Cuddy. There's usually some storyline between these characters, but these aren't given as much importance as what illness the patient is suffering from.

"House" (the main character) is a genius diagnostician who every week has to race the clock and administrative red tape to save the life of a patient that no other doctor can help.

He has three medical assistants (2 male, one female) that either idolize him or hate him. He works for a female president of the hospital who realizes his genius but hates the way he goes around the system to do his job. He takes outrageous chances with patients lives to try to figure out what is wrong with them.

This is one of my very favorite shows and I didn't realize it was starting so soon! Thanks for the reminder. I have it TIVO'd but I'm glad to know its starting again. I think the FOX network does reruns of it. This may be the third season btw.

As for "sexual chemistry" House has a thing with the female on his team of doctors. I'm sorry I don't remember her name, but you could probably go to FOX's website and get all the info you need. BTW Hugh Laurie (who plays House) I believe won the Emmy this year (or maybe last, I'm not positive, but he is a fantastic actor)

You can look at the show's synopsis, episode summaries, character listing, etc. You can even watch some clips from the shows. You could probably look for the DVDs of the first seasons or something, they should be available somewhere by now. Check online at half.com or something, or check with your local library. Most libraries these days have DVD rentals too.

I don't like comparing humans to other animals. There are many directions people could take this. Most of them unpleasant. They could go so far as to say rape is justified/natural and shouldn't be punished, which is not on at all. In terms of having no father/male role model, I like to think of the reasons why. Some fathers are kept at a distance by the mothers. Some fathers are in prison. Some fathers are dead. Some fathers walk away. Human problems don't have easy fixes like elephant problems do.

Very intelligent percodan/pain killer addicted medical diety who is able to diagnose even the most peculiar of all illnesses or maladies. It's a Medical show with a main character who is barely tolerable to his subordinates or superiors, I wish he was my doctor (sometimes). lol!

Enjoy, it's easy enough to catch up with this it's not so much like a soap opera, you will probably like it if you like Medical type shows. The main character has a very strong role and he plays it very well, in my opinion.

The show has been on for two season. I'm sure you can just pick it up easily - it's not like "Lost" where everything is mixed up and weird!
