Oh yes I'm in the south and down here we have a annual Mellon race to see who can pick the most so the lighter the better.If there easy to hold on to i would have to say i like them.

I would squeeze them so gently... checking every side for perfect ripeness... then slice them into quarters, and serve them with a perfectly aged prochutto ham sliced paper -thin and accompanied by Jamacian blue mountain coffee... and then move onto the second course for breakfast... mmmm... yummy melon.....
