There is no reason why you can't have both of them. Or you could have your niece be a junior flower girl. There really are no set rules on the number of attendants and to keep everything fair and to make you happy, I'd just do the double flower girl.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and best of luck.

She could be a junior bridesmaid. My cousin had 2 in her wedding. Having 2 flower girls is not a bad idea either. Whatever decision you make will be a good one. It's your day. Don't stress over this. I'm getting married next year and I'm NOT having flower girls, ring bearers, bridesmaids, maid/matron of honor. I have 6 ladies I love equally and they will be my "Ladies of Honor". I have 3 daughters and they will be walking with me too. No titles, I just want them up there. See, your wedding is what you want. Enjoy your day, enjoy your man, enjoy your combined family, enjoy your marriage. Hope this helps. Congrats & Good Luck!!

When my mom got married my step-sister and I were both flower girls. We had the same color dresses, but were able to chose some of the style so they weren't the same and we both had baskets and had an equal roll in the wedding ceremony. In my opinion it was less scary going down the isle with my step-sister next to me (we were 6). We giggled a little and really had a good time while everyone waved, to both of us since we were together it wasn't like one side waved and the other didn't.

You could make them both flower girls and they don't necessarily have to wear a white/cream dress like the bride does. When my aunt got married, I was around 7 and my sister was 5 and we were both flower girls but we wore dresses that were smaller versions of the bridesmaid dress.

Ask her what she wants to be. I would say that she should both be flower girls or junior bridesmaids. Your future stepdaughter should definately be in the wedding and she should have a bigger role in the wedding than your niece if it comes down to that.

The miniature bride IS the flower girl, only dressed to look like the bride. If I were you, I'd have just the step-daughter and not the neice, or I'd have the neice be the ring-bearer.

It's bad taste to include your neice and not your step-daughter.

Does your step-daughter want to be the flower girl? If not then you have no problem ..but she does then priorities her ! Your niece can serve as the junior bridesmaid. Give importance to your step-daughter...

Have the daughter as flower girl.

Well you really need to think about your setp-daughter because she should have more rights BUT you don't want to leave anybody out so... do you want a junior bridesmaid? Your could have one of them do that or you could have two flowergirls. I had two flowergirls which was a good thing because neither one would have gone down by themselves. You should probably talk with your step-daughter and find out how she feels! Good luck and congrats.

why not have them both as flower girls, I'm having 3 flower girls for my wedding this December. Or you can go with your idea. Both ideas are great.
