Who feels that the Republican Party as it is now, has lost its base?

What I mean is that year after year the party becomes less and less Conservative and closer and closer to the Democratic party. Why are there no good Conservative candidates anymore to support constitutional, fiscal and personal responsibility on a national level?

I opine that until a strong third party (Liberatarian? Something?) comes into play the parties will become closer and closer together "muddying the waters" so that the fight over the undecided vote becomes the battleground.

Right now the only issues really seperating the parties are not really constitutional issues at all: Abortion, Gun Control, Welfare, Social Security, Crime/Law Enforcement, Death Penalty, Taxes/Public Allocation.

Notice that all these issues are ones that were added into the mix well AFTER the Consitution itself was written. I find it hard to believe that the founding fathers could have been so short sighted by the "modern" view of government.

Now, i understand Obama has promised that everybody's taxes will fairly bypass down, yet i don't see how he can save that promise with one thousand billion in new spending that he has additionally promised. He won't be able to maintain all the guarantees... he will the two might desire to boost taxes, as Clinton did, or we would have a funds deficit which will make you with Bush became nonetheless working the tutor! the two way, it rather is approximately to get hard for rather some human beings. and of direction, no one will blame Obama, precise? He inherited the mess... He has it extra suited than any president has ever had it. through fact a million of two issues will ensue. the two the markets will fix themselves and Obama will look great, or the financial equipment will crash and everybody will in simple terms think of it became too plenty for everybody to attend to... and blame it on Bush... no harm, no foul on Obama.

The radical of one century is the conservative of the next. The radical invents the views. When he has worn them out the conservative adopts them. -Mark Twain
