Why do people ask so many dumb questions?

They can obviously work Yahoo Answers but they've never heard of a search engine????

    Maybe because some people just aren't very Google or Yahoo search savvy and can't think of the correct wording to produce the right search result. I know sometimes I have to try rewording the search 3-4 times before I get what I'm looking for.

    I think boredom and lonliness inspire most of the questions on here. It's only a rare few that are rooted in a true desire to gain knowledge about something. Also figure that half the participants are children.

    I have asked questions I could have searched, but sometimes it is nice to get a new slant, insider info, a humorous response, or just a stupid answer.
