What can I do (touristy) in Boston tomorrow?

Boston is a great city. I know you'll have a wonderful time. Luckily for you, most things are very close. You can almost walk to many things!

In Boston, Fanuiel Hall/Quincy Market is a must if you've not been to it before.

Freedom Trail as well, except don't walk the whole thing. Just hit some of the highlights. Go to the old North Church, South Meetinghouse and the Cemetery to see John Hancock and other tombstones.

Many tourists like the Duck tours as well. So if you're inclined, do the Ducks! (Since it'll be a nice day, it'll give you a quick overview)

Since you like museums, the MFA (Museum of Fine Arts) is one of my favorite in the world (that and the Musee D'Orsay in Paris). Their period rooms are so cool. A colonial room has wood beanm ceilings, the European rooms are high ceiling with great crowning. They have over 25 Monets there as well (not all always on display), plus a wonderful collection of american impressionist art. Museum of Science is pretty neat too.

If you like to shop, go to the shops at Prudential/Copley Plaza. Also, be sure to walk down Newbury St just for fun and window shop! It's a fun little walk.

Harvard Sq can be entertaining to walk around. Or you can bounce down to MIT and walk those hallways as well. Next to that is the esplanade, where you can walk the Charles River, which is gorgeous in the summer time, walk downtown and grab something to eat near fanueil hall!

You can also get a day pass for the "T" (subway) and ride all over just for fun!

There are things outside Boston if you want to go, but you'd probably want a car for that. And so if you prefer to travel a little here are a few suggestions.

Visit Salem (north of Boston),

Visit Bunker Hill memorial in Charlestown (and you can climb it)

Visit Old Ironsides (USS Constitution) in Charlestown,

JFK library (just south of Boston),

Visit Lexington and Concord (where it all started) out Route 2.

About an hour north is Maine and lobster galore! Also, just over the border is Kittery, home of some of the largest outlet malls in the country.

If you like amusement parks, Six Flags New England is about an hour or so west in Agawam MA. Or you can go up to Canobie Beach in New Hampshire. But they might be closed on Friday.

In any event, those are some of the best "must sees!"

And of course, enjoy the seafood! For affordable seafood, No Name's is the place to go. Outside of that, you could do the old reliable Durgin Park @ Quincy Market. And be sure to visit the North end for some of the best italian food there is!

If you walk the Freedom Trail you get a wide variety of history, and fun. Also, check out the Museum of Fine Arts. Try to take a Duck Tour to learn about the city.

I don't care if you do any of the things above. To me the best thing to do in Boston is to see the JFK Library. If you have only one day, please make this your main tour. The museums are good, but the exhibitions currently on display in the MFA and gardener are nothing to write home about. Maybe some other time.

Check out some history, go to the Old North Church where they hung the lanterns for Paul Revere's ride to start. Also, go to the USS Constitution (Old Ironsides). Still an active naval ship! Faniel Hall is cool There's just so much history to see. Take a ride on the MTA. Enjoy!
