What IS the Liberal/Democratic message?

The Liberal/Democratic message seems to be: "You can't manage your own lives. Let us do it. We know what's best for everyone."

I don't know anybody, from any party, that would agree with any of those 'straw man' arguments. A straw man argument is a flimsily constructed argument, easy to knock down, which misrepresents your opponent. It's a little like beating up on the neighborhood weakling and bragging about it. Next time, include quotes to prove that somebody who matters actually holds those opinions.

I will take issue with one the points. Electric cars are not 'liberal' or 'democratic', they are simply machines. Electric vehicles create much less pollution than gasoline cars by virtue of their vastly superior efficiency in utilizing energy - and newer tech batteries combined with super light electric motors (the Tesla's motor is only 9 inches across) eliminate the old 'heavy battery' stigma. A vehicle which can move further on less fuel creates less pollution, even if dirty fuel is burned at the powerplant. And of course, not all electricity is made from coal. Much of it is made from clean sources.

Gas cars also create hidden pollution - no matter how 'clean' the engine, because the gasoline has to be refined (using lots of electricity), and transported (by fume-belching truck, to your gas station.) By most estimates, an electric vehicle is 90% cleaner overall than a gas-powered vehicle.

EVs can and will get cheap, with mass production. Sadly, it won't be the short-sighted American companies that do it. Electric motors have only one moving part, and can be mass-produced inexpensively. China has figured out they won't be getting enough oil for their future growth, and are investing heavily in electric vehicle research. It gets 200 miles per charge, does freeway speeds, and sells for $28500. With a $10k trade-in, a 60 month loan makes a car payment of $400. But the average driver will save nearly $200/month in fuel cost (1200 miles/ month, 18 mpg car, gas @ $3.10/gal versus electricity at .10/KWH, 4 miles per KWH.)

You are making false generalizations!

Conservatives want to reduce the number of cops and eliminate self defense. They are in power and have cut their pay and numbers and benefits.

The conservatives in the last 6 years have collected more tax dollars than all previous administrations combined, and yet they cut benefits for our veterans, our war cripples, and the families of our war dead. The deficit is at record levels.

I am against abortion and against the death penalty. The government should not have that much power. Oh, you want the government to have the power of life and death? I want better government, not more government!

Most abortion clinics are owned by conservatives, and the #1 cause of abortion, is, was, and always will be the stigma on unwed mothers from the conservative right.

I want a standard test to find out if that money is well spent! I want the Conservative Republicans to stop squandering our hard earned tax dollars on their pet pork belly projects.

Conservative Republicans have been forgiving lots of loans to other countries. Why would you blame Democrats for what Republicans do?

Child predators have run rampant with Conservative Republicans in power.

Are they against Death Penalty?

Do they attack threatening countries or non-threatening ones?

Have they stopped al child molestors?

You need to look at your current administration and most of the stuff you have mentioned is what they are currently doing. You want reform, you won't get it through Republicans, they will "stay the course" and our national debt will double, it's high enough as it is. Your arguments are conflicting if you compare em to the Republicans message too.
