Renault Scenic DCi 2nd drive shaft in 2 years?
It's a 2002 registration and the parts are Renault fitted by Arnold Clark. Isn't this a little excessive?
It's a family car and never thrashed.

i think that the first drive shaft has damaged the splines on the diferential and this has led to premature failure of the second drive shaft. i am a renault mechanic and have seenthis problem a lot.

I don´t know if you can argue the sales of goods act 1974 that states that goods should be of mechanisable quality and fit for purpose. I would have thought that 2 drives shafts were a bit excessive and that one should have lasted more than a couple of years.
