Will you ever forget 9/11?

I know I will never forget the 9/11 tragedy.

We Will Never Forget

Dedicated to the memory of those lost and the heros of September 11th,2001.

We will never forget that freedom

comes at a cost,

On that fateful day in September of

the lives that were lost.

Why did this tragedy happen to

you and to me,

All we ever wanted was to live, love

and be free.

We live in a country where our

freedom rings true,

Standing tall beneath our flag the

ole red,white and blue.

They thought to make us live our

lives in great fear,

Oh how wrong they were it only

caused pain and tears.

Now we have come together as

one nation to say,

We will never forget,we are strong and

are here to stay.

To the American people and to those who have lost loved ones and to the many heros of 9/11.I wrote this in the hopes that we will never forget and come together as one in the battle for freedom.

Columbine and the OK city bombing...I think we've all always accepted that we have crazies among us that do horrific things. It's not that those events aren't important or shouldn't be remembered, but when you have outsiders that can sneak in undetected and do something so horrendous, it's a whole other thing. I think that's why this tragedy in particular affected everyone. It's scary to think of people from other countries hating us enough to want to kill us by the thousands.

I will never forget the attacks on the towers. I just hope we are better prepared in the event something like this happens again. We lost too many people that day. I love the poem. The government should think about making it a national holiday not just for the emergency personal that lost their lives but also the civilians that lost their lives as well.

First, nice poem. Second, no, I will not forget; I cannot forget. I cant forget that we are vulnerable, nor can I forget the lives of those whom I never met, but I will always remember. The ones in the Towers, the ones in the Pentagon, and the heroes on Flight 93 that, through bravery and courage, showed the terrorist threat what America truly stands for. We are tough, and we have got the balls to back it up. We are America.

    September Morning

September eleventh was sunny and clear,

The usual weather for that time of year.

Complacency reigned in the land of the free,

    A country protected by democracy.

An airplane appeared on that late summer morn,

A speck in the distance, no terror yet born.

Twin towers were targets as skyward they reached.

The first plane struck true and one tower was breached.

As horror unfolded before my shocked eyes,

The second of towers was pierced from the skies.

Oh the cries and the running and tears on the faces,

The disbelief, fear and the skyline's new spaces!

I watched the black smoke cloud grow large in the air,

I saw people stumble, look backwards and stare

At the towers that crumbled to rubble in minutes

And I cried for the poor souls entombed there within it.

The shrieking of sirens that September morning

Cleared pathways through streets that were choked by those mourning,

Searching for those in that New York state town

Lost on the day the twin towers came down

I will never forget 9/11. But sadly, I think as generations go on we will forget. Like D-Day we now almost never think about it and many children and teens have no idea what it is. So we need to keep reminding ourselves and others about this sad day and the heros and innocent peoople who died of it.

I commend you for the poem you wrote.

And no, I don't think I'll ever forget. But I think you may be interested in looking up this site:www.loosechange911.com. Please look it up and let me know what you think. I saw it for the first time about 2 hours ago and I'm depressed and shocked about it, as if it happened all over again. I would really like your opinion, 'cause there are so many things that make you wonder about this.

Clap Clap Clap. I will forget 9/11 in like 20 years until they mention it each year but the moment before I die, I shall see it all over again.

No. But give it a while. People said the same thing about Pearl Harbor. My Grandfather was in WWII in the Pacific and bought a Toyota in 1980.

How about Oklahoma bombing or the Columbine shooting or Pearl Harbor? Aren't they worth remembering too? Why only 9/11? Is it because the body count was higher? Or is it because some foreign terrorists did it?

I know I will never forget although there is part of me that just wants to forget, but another the won't let me forget and knows I shouldn't.
