what do you think about rubber neckers on the high way?

I hate rubberneckers. I want to tell them to mind their own business and keep moving. Im not sure its an offense that should be ticketed, I just think people should just, like I said, mind their own business. If someone has just been in an accident and are possibly injured or if they are being treated along side the road the last thing they need or want is a row of slow moving cars with people gawking at them. Plus people slowing down and turning their heads in moving traffic could also cause more accidents. Only slow down of the police are guiding you through but if its a highway...keep moving.

No. I don't care about most of them. In fact, I sometimes rubberneck, but I only slow down like 5 mph. The ones that go down to 30 on a 60 highway in a matter of seconds should be ticketed though. They are dangerous--one time there was a crash, the guy in front of the car crashed into the accident (three car pileup), and then this other car slowed down and almost got our car into an accident! I swear I almost had a heart attack, and that guy certainly got cussed out.

They are responding to normal human curiosity. Hardly a criminal offense. As a matter of fact, in our state, if you can't leave at least one full lane between yourself and the law enforcement personnel standing by the road, you are supposed to slow to 20 mph less than the speed limit. If you follow the law, may people would accuse you of "rubbernecking". The trick to get it moving is with prompt and proper response from law enforcement (and the tow truck).

No. It's impossible not to slow down when there is something going on at the side of the road. It's the natural thing to do, rather than wizzing by at 80 mph.

guess I miss understand here, I thought rubber neckers were people that follow too closely, and yes they should be ticketed!!! If I am correct, no we don't do it, actually my husband will slow down on purpose to make those people go around him and get off his ***.

They are very dangerous and if they cause an accident, they should definitely get a ticket for it.

Most people do for either curiousity or just plain nosey.
