I have an 1989 Ford Ranger Short cab/7" box, custom exhaust help?

I work in a shop but all we do is bolt on work, no custom work, I can do the work easily enough, but what i'm wanting to do is very uncommon and i was wondering if anyone has tried this before, but i want to run a straight pipe to a mini muffler and then run the pipe up the rear passenger side of the cab and have it run out of the fender in the same place the gas filler cap is, just on the opposide side, i have room to do it, i just don't know about the flex in the frame. And if anyone has done it, what are some pros and cons about it, (and i don't care about scorched paint)

Update:

Its going to be a flowmaster or something that i can get my hands on, I do work in a shop and I get awesome deals on any part I want

Update 2:

I'm not looking on help for what muffler to get, I can get anything I want, i'm moreso wanting to know if anyone else has cut a hole in the side of their car or truck or whatever to fit the exhause through

cool idea.. haven't done it myself but I know the truck.....but the area on the passenger side is pretty narrow at gas cap level in there between the outside and the bed itself... If I remember real tight bends depending upon if you are gonna want to shoot it straight out (basically a 90 with about 2 inch pipe... don't know if you could fit more... as I think the gas pipe is just roughly 1 to 1 1/2 inch tubing

Would be cool, but I think to run your exhaust, it's gonna take modifying the inside of the bed too much to make it work
