Has anyone ever created a cold air intake for a 2.9L Ford Ranger, I can't get ahold of any kits?

Check www.therangerstation.com they have tons of info on making your own and links to parts dealers.

Also, I have heard that through some sheer coincidence some aftermarket honda cold air intakes will work on the ranger.

I had 2.3L Rnager and I thought that K&N made both a replacement filter and a complete cold air system for the 2.9L and the 4L rangers. Check online.

Nope just a replacement k & n panel filter. If you're looking for power do a 4.0 swap it bolts right in, or go for a v8 swap.

spend time at a auto zone or salvage yard you can make your own kit,

I don't want to sound mean, but don't wast money on a 2.9 motor.
