face to face, just be honest, tell him how you feel and why the relationship is not working he will hurt at first, mad, frustrated, he will do all he can do win you back, but most all he will have a better respect for you and may be a true friend when you need him.

Always - always in person. Think about if you were that person - it is just a more mature, considerate way - face to face always.
:o)
Like they said - if he is a threat to you in anyway - bring a male friend to wherever you go and have him sit in the car or within eye sight of you - OR do it in a public place where he cannot get crazy and make sure you leave with a few people in a public place where there are people around - if need be, then get a restraining order.

Person! And when you do it in person, make sure you do it somehwere where HE is comftorble. Nowhere where a scene can be made or he can get embarassed. I didn't read your other question so I'm not sure if this is a good idea for your circumstances or not, but if there's no reason to be scared of him in person then deffintly don't do it over the phone. That isn't right in my opinion.

If you still love him but you need to... break-up with him on the phone. To prevent that so cold "pitty-heart" and make it quick. Now if the love is gone... tell it to him in person so that you can explain the reason very well.

You should always break up with someone in person. The phone just shows that you are a coward.

I'd say break up with him in person.
Over the phone seems pretty harsh and cruel, especially if you've been with him for quite some time.
I'd break up with him in person and explain why I'm doing it and all.

In person, unless he is going to get violent, then do it in person but have the police on the phone.

who cares just do it by phone then hang up real quick, and if the answering machine comes on, well all the better......you obviously dont give a hoot or else you wouldnt be breaking up right..
