This advice is for male pups as it does`nt work as well for *****`s
First you need to catch it in the act of urinating on the furniture.....so you will have to follow the dog everywhere 24/7.
As soon as the dog urinates on a piece of furniture give it a swift hard kick in the gonads. After a while it will stop doing it. It worked on me...... i stopped after the first kick !

Its not easy, as my two jack Russell pups where both like that also, Dogs tend to pee where they have peed before as it is a sense of marking their territory, dogs have a heightened sense of smell better than any detergent, so no matter if you use bleach etc where they have peed it makes no difference they can still smell their own scent.
if you go to your nearest pet store and tell them the situation they will give you a deterrent, its quite good, it will destroy the pee smell and also has a smell that the dogs do not like..just spray it over the area in which it peed and mop it up and spray again leaving it to dry in.
I always find sticking their nose in it works also and a small slap on the snout, saying NO, loudly does the trick also, as the dog will see how displeased you are at it.
I recommend you let the dog out as it is a pup at least 5 times a day, first thing in the morning and midday, the afternoon and evening and last thing at night before you go to bed, if you are out of the house during the day it is best to leave the dog in the back garden..
Also an hrs walk with the dog in the evening usually does the trick as they tend to pee more while walking...
Also remember not to over feed it as its a pup they tend to pee and poo more until it reaches about 9 months. a pup only needs to be fed once a day with a few snacks in between for good behaviour, the odd scraps etc..never give it anymore than that!

You don't say how old he is.
Take him out at very regular intervals and give lots of praise if he "goes" in the right place - paper, garden etc.
Try to clean the area with something which will remove the smell and so he won't be attracted back. Sometimes something they do not like the smell of may help too. See what your pet shop / vet suggest.

Clean everywhere the dog has urinated, with a product called "Nature's Miracle" from Petsmart. Take the dog outside frequently. After cleaning all of the urine watch the dog carefully, and everytime it try's to urinate on anything in your house, yell at him, or whip his butt.

Poor you!
The reason why your dog is peeing on your furniture is because it thinks that it dominates the house and he is making "territory".What you have to do is spray air it it,s face every time he or she tries to pee..it will be peeing on your bed soon and then it will be humping your leg which i know sounds strange..but it is all to do with who,s "boss"..and you are..water or air tends to work effectivily..and you have to be firm and put him in the correct place to pee.

Here is a simple one pepper. Dogs sneeze at the sent of pepper. They only pee on what they smell. So get pepper and put it on your couch.

This just confirms a dogs attitude to life. If it can't eat it or shag it, it pisses on it!
