Newbie soccer question..why does the crowd sing You Will never Walk Alone during a match?

    Its the anthem for Liverpool, they s**k big - time but yeah.

    Every club has their own motto.

    Liverpool - you will never walk alone

    Arseanl- Gunners Never Outgunned

    Man.Utd- Red Devils Never Die

    The supporters are pledging their allegiance to their club. And it's the Liverpool anthem.

    "You'll Never Walk Alone" is also featured on the Liverpool shield on their jerseys.
