Does anyone have experience dating someone significantly older?
I think I'm falling in love with my girlfriend. On the outside things could not possibly be better with us. However, I'm 30 and she's 57. I love her to pieces, but I wonder about our longterm future. We connect on so many levels -- intellectually, spiritually, physically. We have everything in common, but at the end of the day she is 27 years older than me. Any advice?
That's not really the answer I was looking for, but you're probably correct. I was hoping for some sappy "love conquers all" type of response.
I'll admit it's a little awkward sometimes (i.e. she has a son who is older than me), but the sex is mind-blowingly good. I'm not sure whether she'd go for a sex only relationship.

When i was 20 i was dating a 35 year old lady. Only 15yr diff. The sex was incredible, she let me have it whenever i wanted. However it wasn't long before i started noticing the difference.
For example on a friday night i'll wanna go to bars or pubs and she'd wanna sit home and watch a move. or she'd take me to her chistmas party or some other function and i would feel completely out of place.
After a while we both agreed that our relationship should be sex only. This worked out for a while and then i found someone much younger with whom i had alot in common and so did she.
To make the long story short. WHAT ARE YOU THINKING. she is going to retire in another 3 or 4 years and you are in your prime. My advice--split up or have just sex relationship.
Think about it. In a few more years, would you rather be pushing a baby stroller or a freakin wheel chair.
