If you and your significant other wanted to move together.........?

but you had a cat and they didn't like cats, how would you compromise?

Update:

Would you be willnig to give the cat up, or would you stand your ground and state the cat is a part of the family??

It just depends on how much they 'don't like' the cat. If its extreme terror like a phobia that puts them in a panic running for the hall closet that would be different from a casual "well, I don't like the way that cat looks at me you need to get rid of it" kind of attitude. By the way, if you say the cat is 'part of the family' then you've got some serious problems cause that's pretty sick.

Can you find your close friend or family to adopt the cat?

When you start dating , did he or she know already that you have a cat? why didn't they have a problem at first...? may be you guys dodn't know each other that well enough to move in together yet..

It's just a cat. Serious. By law they are not even defined as domesticated animals. Hard to believe but true.

I would not even attempt to move in a house with a cat. I hate those things too.

Depends on which you like better, your partner or your cat. You may love your cat, but you're sure gonna have lots more fun and love with your partner, I hope!
