Why is it every time I answer a question I have the words edit delete at the end?

This is so you can edit or delete your answer , if you click on edit option it will take you back to the original screen , where you may amend your answer and re-post your answer or , if you want to delete your answer then click on delete and you can delete your answer , only you can amend your answer and you cannot amend anyone Else's answer .

It allows you to edit your answer, if you omitted something that you suddenly think to include after you have posted it, or to delete the answer. You gain nothing by editing your answer, but you loose 2 points for deleting it. You can only edit and delete your answers to questions while they are open and accepting answers.

It is just for you to see. That way, you can delete or edit your own answers. Everyone that answers a questions sees that at the end of their own answers.

Just as it sounds Edit is to review your question while delete is to erase the question but erasing question come with point loss

Because if you mess up then you want want too change your answer. If you didn't like your answer you could also delete it.
