How would you feel if extraterrestrials were found out to be what Earth religions are based on??

(Lets pretend for a minute) ...How would you feel if all the gods man has worshiped throughout Human existence, including right now..were actually extraterrestrials?... What if.. they have been here for the entire evolution of mankind?..How would you look differently at your life and your existence here?

Update:

I will reiterate the point I am asking..

..How would you look differently at your life and your existence here?

I would feel the same as I have included that possibility in various beliefs I have and with each new experience or revelation I add them to my reality.

I set up scenarios if certain things are true and when I finally "know" they are true, I simply add it as my truth.

Source(s): Also, I fear that if it were true and publicly revealed as truth by a figure of formal authority, then the masses would blame the "aliens" for all of mankinds problems

There are several books and wed sites dedicated to this exact scenario. Look under the lost Gospel of Peter, it has many references to "ET's" Actually, some of the earliest, (predating Christ) artwork discovered in history depict flying crafts & "spacemen" looking characters. It's quite fascinating, and even as a Christian, I feel that Christ could have been a result as an immaculate (alien) conception. One must always have an open mind. Anything is possible, and the UFO/Bible theory is just as good as any.

  • But who created THEM? :)

Seriously, the theory has indeed been advanced. I also remember the Star Trek episode where Kirk marries the native woman and is worshipped as a god. Why didn't he ask for a harem? (!)

Obviously it would result in many changes in thinking and belief. As, say, the occurrence of the Rapture, or events foretold in Revelation, or the Second Coming of Jesus would force others to re-evaluate THEIR beliefs.

    Go figure.
