Anyone own or work on Lincoln Continentals?

Good cars, very dependable and a great ride. I work on them and they are not to bad to work on, Most problems I have had to work on is the air ride system and head gaskets on some. Over all a great compact car with the luxury as a full size Lincoln.

I have an 86 Townie here. What I have found with cars like Lincolns, or other higher end vehicles (I also have an SHO, and used to have a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe) is that they are built to higher standards than the average car. As such, they generally last longer and are more reliable than a run of the mill Cavalier or Taurus. A good price on a 98 Continental, if that is the type of car you want to drive should be well worth the investment. I'm sure you will love the way these cars drive, especially on the highway.

I owned a 98 Continental for several years and sold it to a friend who is still driving it.

The car was quite reliable, quick, and got surprisingly good mileage for a 275 horse V8. I work on cars a good bit, and the only real weakness I ever saw in that one was that after awhile the air suspension tends to develop some seal wear and bleeds out its pressure if it sits too long.
