All I can tell you is to tell her to take multivitamin so that will help her body to heal faster or medicated neosporin should help also. A suggestion MSM supplement also will help strengthen her hair. Blessings

She should probably go to the doctor and get some antibiotics for the infection. And maybe not have it braided so tightly the next time.

It doesn't sound real serious, but she shouldn't take a chance of further infection.

Wish her Good Luck for me.

oohh wee. I can only imagine the pain. She needs to keep her scalp clean and not scratch or try to irritate it anymore. And please don't put a relaxer or any chemicals on it for a while. She can try Dr. Miracles hair product line to keep the scalp clean and neosporine for the pus bumps.

SULFAR 8 hair grease the medicated kind its just what you need and keep the hair loose maybe in a loose ponytail or do the jill scott look(cute) and just let the scalp breathe. be blessed

she needs to put some coconut oil on her scalp to soothe the pain and the bumps. it sounds like she has sensitive scalp.
