What is the average babysitting rate in Wisconsin?

Sorry to ask again, but I would be the babysitter, and the girls are 3 and 6 years old. I am a junior/senior in college majoring in Early Childhood, but have never worked outside of daycare before. What is a good rate to charge per child by the hour? It would be about 3 days a week/4 hours per day and the occasional weekend.

Thanks

Hello from a fellow Wisconsinite! I know for my two (ages 4 & 7) in the Madison area I'd pay about $8-10/hr. I usually propose $10/hr while the kids are up and $7 or $8/hr while they are sleeping.

That's what I pay a sitter. Now, I do have an in-home daycare and I charge $33 per day for up to 6 hours for a child over 2. (for more than 6 hours per day I charge $42/day) and $11/day for afterschool care.

    Hope that helps!

If your going to drive there then $10. I bsit and im about 15 and I obviously can't drive, but I get paid from about 8-10 dollars. usually about 10 in families with 3 kids, and 8 with 1 or 2 kids. I bsit in MD. Talk to the parents about the rate. But I would say $10.
