well, there's not a definitive answer as to whether or not it's safe to have sex during pregnancy - it will depend upon your wife's situation.
First, you should both talk to her doctor about it - and make sure the doctor doesn't think it will be a problem. Sometimes, if there has been a history of miscarriages, the doctor might suggest that you don't have sex.
But defnitely ask the doctor. All you have to do is ask your wife if you can come along for the next doctors visit - that you have some questions you'd like to ask.
I think your wife will trust it more coming from her doctor than from the internet anyways.
As for positions - again, ask the doctor. Keep in mind however, that anything with your wife on the bottom, and you on top of her - is going to put pressure and your body weight on her belly - which will be an uncomfortable thing for your wife. Some other possibilites would be her on top, you behind her, or your sitting on a chair (a chair without arms) with her on top.
You might also want to be careful about having sex as the pregnancy gets closer to term - again consult with your doctor.

dude. its perfectly OK to have sex right up till the day the contractions start. You be busy doing other things when that happens.the best thing about having sex with a pregnant woman,is just that....she already pregnant.so no worries there. you will find that your positions become somewhat limited around 8 months and after.and remember that carrying an extra person can get uncomfortable towards the end.expect to get woken up allot from her moaning and groaning while sleeping .try to roll over in bed with a basketball attached to your stomach..as for proof simply google or yahoo search ...sex during pregnancy or ask her DR.
