What was the best thing that happened to you? Does the memory of it help you in everyday life?

the best thing that ever happened to me? Hum this is a very good question and thank you for making me think of my life and the things that i am blessed with. I have many things that have happened to me that are equally wonderful. The birth of my tow wonderful boys, when I met my husband, and what helps me get through life is knowing that I am here for a reason, I have a purpose, I am not sure exactly what that is, but I know that God has put me here, and yes my husband and boys keep me focused and fulfill that purpose. And if that is the only reason that I am here, I am very happy with that.

This is not the common answer you would expect. The best thing that ever happened to me was not something joyful or exciting. I am a recovering addict with a long frightening life story. The best thing that has happened is that I have been able to take all of my past hurts, pains, regrets and mistakes and turn them into a positive experience not only for myself but for those who also suffer from addictions and afflictions. I learned more through failure than success which has enabled me to obtain my goals today.

Breast Cancer..I know it sounds negative but it is only two words and believe me I am a far better person because of it..

I now have the ability of turning other tragedies into positive inspiration in helping others..I use this in my everyday life by continuing to write songs, poems and giving my canvas paintings to those organisations who help those in need.. In turn, I hope I have reached out and enriched someone with the knowledge that they too can do the same..It really does take only one..person..to make a difference...my motto..Waiting for tomorrow is a ..waste of today..(reach out now, dont wait)..

my parents made a decision when i was only 2 yrs.old that affected the lives of my three brothers, sister, and myself.

we were born in cuba, they left their family and home forever, not ever to see any family there again , for us. i don't think i could have ever done that. they didn't know anyone here in the united states, they didn't speak the language, somehow they made it. they did this so we wouldn't have to be communists'. i remember my mom crying, when i was little, every time we got a telegram, it was doomsday, to learn of another one of our family's passing.

i sometimes wish fidel and raul castro would be overtaken. all we need is a group of brave cubans and cuban-americans. that's the best thing that ever happened to me, in my life, my brave,daring parents. that courage my parents have shown,is what helps me get through each day. i am so proud to be an american, 38 yrs.

The best thing that ever happened to me is my mate. It is the greatest everyday life one could ask for. Its amazing how much a great mate can impact your life.

The best thing to happen to me was being raised by my grandparents. They were great, especially my loving grandmother!

I'll never forget them and I feel like I am capable of being able to love because of the great gift that my grandmother taught me. It does help me in everyday life and now I try to help others.
