I still like Wednesday Addam's suggestion.

"I'm a serial killer. They look like everybody else."

And for spongebob, you could probably buy one for 20 bucks. Why take the time and money to do it homemade style?

OOOhhh I love to help with costumes. You could make a sponge bob several ways. Contact me for real details if you need. do you sew? That would determin how I would advise you. If you do not sew I have good Ideas for that also. There is always two pieces of card board the strap at the shoulders painted the coloer you want and you could put a pair of shorts on the card board or you could paint them on. I love halloween costumes for kids.

I love the birds idea! Otherwise a regular zombie would be great, just use some old clothes, stain them up a bit then use white glue and makeup for the zombie look itself. If you're handy at sewing you could make a 'prom' dress out of an old sheet, a bit of dye etc. or even a shower curtain. If not, and you really want the prom route, try a second hand store.

hey :D omg that's so cool my old friend did that a couple years ago.Her dad got her a really large foam sponge and the painted it yellow and torn pieces out from it to make it look like the holes sponge bob as.The she had to cut a large hole for her face and arms and legs.Old ladies mistaken her for cheese.Wear shorts and white high socks and black sneakers or shoes. She also got face paint and painted her face a bit yellow. If you want something easier and cheaper.Get a really really large piece of car board and have it a bit wider then you paint it yellow and get a black sharpie and draw the little holes cut a hole for your face. And you don't have to cut a hole for your legs or arms because you need a piece of cardboard that is wide and large enough and covers your the top of you head.Your arms will stick out from the sides. And you need some masking tape to keep the cardboard on and you have to tape it over you but and back.Obviously you'll be having clothes on lol!.Ok if all of that seems to hard dress in the sponge bob outfit shorts and the white shirt and he wears a tie right? and the knee high socks. Then just pull your hair back and get some face paint and dab yellow on yourself.Still seems to hard dress in all yellow and print off a large pic of sponge bob and tape it on your stomach.Ok?

^those are my ideas for sponge bob good luck!<3

When my two oldest boys were small, I dressed them as crayons. They wore solid color sweat pants and shirts, and I made the crayon "wrapping" with matching rolled poster board. I stabled string at the shoulders when they tried them on to keep the wrapper in place. You don't want the poster board to fall below their knees or they won't be able to walk very well. Another piece of poster board was used to make the hat which was the point of the crayon. Angle the roll as if you are making a funnel. I used elastic stapled to hold that on their heads. It was SOO cute!

Glue a bunch of sponges togeth for Spongbob and paint the shorts and other details. Obviously you will need the big sponges. Improvise. Have fun

One year, I went as a pile of recyclables. I used a garbage bag as the base and then glued/taped on things like pop bottles, TP rolls, crunch newspapers, that kind of thing. It was a real hit and I won a trophy for it. it was the "trashiest" thing I've ever done with the kids!
