How can you just start watching a soap opera?

I have watched As The World Turns for 26 years. I started watching it with mom when I moved back to my home town. The best way to start is to watch it with someone who has watched for a while. They will tell you enough to start you watching it.

I think for Soap Operas, you can jump in and watch anytime since Soap Opera's are full of crap and drama. You'll know what's going on. As for Lost, you might want to pick up a copy of their Dvd's and watch it. I used to watch General Hospital between 1999 and 2002, but hardly do, but one time I left the tv on while I was cleaning my home and I sat down to take a quick break. Though, it was in 2005 and hadn't watched General Hospital for more than 2 years, I knew what was going on.

I have been watching Young and the Restless for over 30 years. I can go for years and not see a single episode and catch on in minutes. One thing all of the young children suffer from a strange disease....RGS. That is rapid growth syndrome. They grow up in years from birth to 25 in 5 years. Amazing.

It's easy to do. Just turn on your TV set. I've been watching the Young and the Restless since 1974. I love it. I also watch Days of our lives and Passions. Great shows. All of them.

They do (or still do I think) have Soap Opera digests at supermarket checkout lines. Check those out to keep up to speed on your show. Find someone at work, or a neighbor you know who watches that particular show. Get in convo about it.
