I am in the U.S. and want to buy European stocks. What do I do? Thanks.?
There are 3 specific stocks I am interested in buying, which aren't trading in the U.S. I don't wish to purchase ADR's (American Depository Receipts), because they usually have unusally high mockups.
Thanks.

There are about 470 foreign stocks listed on the NYSE and Nasdaq as ADR's (American Depository Receipts). They trade like regular stocks, but the volume is not great. You'll find the big names like Sony and BMW there.
The other option is to invest in a Mutual Fund that has exposure in Europe.
Or there are also ETF's available.
Of course, you could take the direct investment of foreign stocks seriously, and fly over there and open a brokerage account. Take a vacation, and write it off as business.
