Why do people constantly mis-spell the word lose when talking about weight?

The word is LOSE people, not LOOSE.

LOOSE is the opposite of TIGHT.

eg. The child's tooth was LOOSE.

LOSE means to misplace something or drop weight.

eg. Don't LOSE your wallet.

STOP THE INSANITY OF THE MIS-SPELL!

Yes, and there is no word in the dictionary called "alot," that drives me nuts.

Then people submit questions and answers without clicking on the "Check Spelling" link above the window they type in. I think they should put the link BELOW this little typing window in BOLD LETTERS and change it to FIX Spelling Errors.
