I've actually found that Ginkoba helps a bit. As others have mentioned anything interactive such as word search puzzles, crossword puzzles, etc.
The television is almost undoubtedly the worst enemy. No need to avoid your favorite programs but shut it off in between.
Also physical exercise appropriate to your fitness level whether it's just walking or weight training. As someone else mentioned Yoga is excellent. Tae Kwon Do is also.
I use my cell phone organizer / alarm clock to remind me of things.

(No, just kidding) studies have shown that crossword puzzles and trying to memorize verses or poems have a positive effect on memory and mental alertness. Also, if you visit any of the many sites for Alzheimer's, they will list a good number of things you can do to improve your memory.

@ Before going to sleep, recall each and every incident of that whole day.
@ Mostly remember your friends, relatives,etc phone number.
@ Be cool . don't be tense for all the things.
I think you will earn some memory by doing so. Because these are some exercise to your brain.

First off spell words correctly in your questions. It's 'suggestions" and there is a box above where you type in your questions that has 'check spelling" use it. Thats a good start to improving your memory.

take a candle,lit it. sit and try to see it for 3 to 5 mint. daily in the morning and close your eye and say to yourselves today what ever i learn it will remain in my memory to help me when i need
and then see the difference.

read everyday and do memory exercises like cross word puzzles and just about anything that keeps the mind active.

ask your doctor 1st then check your blood pressure, may little blood reach your brain every day do something, any thing even house work fresh air in your bedroom, sitting room, in the house check for CO/ carbon monoxide in your house, if all ok, then check your brain done in the hospital in the last: open your hand/palm, read fatihah on them then wipe your head and body
