You have 20 pieces of wood. 3 are a foot long. 3 are 2 feet long. 6 are a yard long. 1 is an inch shy of four feet long. The other 7 are all 5 feet long.

Hou many inches of wood do I have?

    Judging from your previous questions

1 - the one that is an inch.

Edit: okay, based on that response, my final guess is none, because all your wood is longer than an inch.

    29 11 in + 35 = 64 ft 11 in = 640+ 128 + 11 = 779 inches

one inch shy off (3+6+18+4+35)x 12 inches

i.e. (66x12) -1=791 inches assuming all the pieces are different and do not fit into one another.

    3 * 12 = 36

    3 * 2 * 12 = 72

    6 * 3 * 12 = 216

    4 * 12 - 1 = 47

    7 * 5 * 12 = 420

    total: 791

there is "12in" in a foot and 3 ft in a yard. doing the conversion in the order of the problem you get 36in+72in+216in+47in+420in.

this all comes out to be 791inches
