Once you are there, $2000 is plenty....more than enough....even if you go after the ladies in the bars in Ermita...near Manila....if you can stay in cheaper hotels for 700P per night ($18)

if you have a friend or relative in the philippines, you have to bring around 5T $, All major credit card are accpeted in the Philippines in case you will be short of money! you can stay on a pension house or in condo unit for hire! about food don't worry they can deliver right at your door step. if you will be alone don't bring to much money. just better to have your credit card ready!!! enjoy....

Well, that rather depends of if you are staying with friends or a host family. And if you plan on traveling within the country.

I would not travel with less than $3,000 USD, but I travel extensively and do not stay with family. You might be able to chop that figure in half if your accommodations are otherwise and you want to live frugally. But then, what is the fun in that????? smiling.

    Have good travel!
