How and what will be the easiest way to loose weight without going to any weight loss plans like Jenny Craig?
Its been 4 years since I have my baby and it have been unable to loose weigh as I want to. I'm over 240 pds. Need to loose at least 60 to 70 pounds, and even eating just lettuce or fruits or just 3 meals a day, I don't see no results. Thanks for any help. Do not need "jokes".

Diets do not work. 99% of people gain the weight back. Here is how it works. No one teaches the animal what to eat and what not to eat. He knows instinctively what to eat. Humans also have the same instinct. The way it works is just eat whatever tastes good and that will be healthy for you and non-fattening. That is why a baby tastes everything. So again whatever tastes good, is good for you. This is why you will spit out spoiled milk.
But wait!!! Man has the technology to create rat poison. It tastes like healthy food (good taste) but kills the rat. So man has done that to you. Note- any food unaltered by man (uncooked) that tastes good, is good for you. So if you are stranded in the woods, that is how you know what to eat (cooking changes that). So man has created fake fruit. It tastes like fruit that exists in nature but it is terrrible for health, addictive and fattening called sweets.
So it is natural to like real sweets called fruit, like a baby does, but they have fooled you just like the rat. But they do not want to kill you. They want you to become obese so you will buy lots of their foods. This is called GOOD BUSINESS. the best way to lose weight is to come to terms that you need to make a lifestyle change because exercise and dieting will help short term but if you go back to your normal lifestyle you will gain the weight back. Try making exercise a part of your daily routine, try parking farther away from stores and work, take the stairs rather than elevators and escalators. start exercising slowly to prevent injury, adding 5-10 minutes every week walking, jogging, bike riding, rowing machine, eliptical etc. Also include some weight training this will help you lose the weight more quickly, and you will see results maybe not so much on the scale but in the way that your clothes fit. Lastly start to eat more frequently throughout the day, five to six small meals a day. Stay away from processed foods and refined flours and sugars. Try Sticking to nutritionally dense food like green leafy lettuce, whole grains, fruits and veggies and lean meats like chicken and fish, legumes (beans) are another excellent souce of protein and add fiber to your diet which will help in the weight loss department, I hope this helps a little good luck.

Do you drink water? I am not a big fan of water, but when I was at 225 and decided to do something about it, the first thing I did was quit drinking anything with caffeine or alcohol in it, and started drinking A LOT of water. I really didn't make any other changes to my normal routine at that time, but I dropped 40 lbs before hitting a plateau. (When I stopped losing at 185, I finally had to get serious about exercise before I started losing again. But since I had already lost 40 lbs, I had enough extra energy that I didn't mind exercising any more!)

Any diet plan needs excercise, just eating right will only maintain your current weight. Unfortunately those of us who need to lose weight have to do some kind of physical activity everyday. Choose something that is relatively easy for you to stick to, or start out slow and increase your excercise program to get used to it.
Also not eating red meat (beef and pork) helped me lose 10 pounds without excercise. It was like a miracle, i don't eat those anymore as a result.

Ok if you really want to get serious, I say follow the south beach diet, and pick up Oxygen Magazine, or Women's Muscle and Fitness. None of these pus*y magazines like "Fitness" - those magazines are so elementary, once you begin to learn ANYTHING about fitness, you won't learn anymore from reading it. Plus all their models are just skinny, and usually quite young. In Oxygen there are women of all ages who look good and have real muscle on them. Overall, you need to realize that this is going to be first and foremost a battle with yourself, and your willpower and discipline.
And don't eat just 3 times a day - you need to eat small meals six times a day to speed up your metabolism.
