I made eggs benedict with pouched eggs and my family wanted the eggs fried separately sighting bacteria, true?

    Pouched eggs are just as safe as fried eggs if they are pouched long enough. You just have to make sure that the whites are done and the yolks are heated through just as you would for a safe fried egg. Sloppy whites are yucky no matter how you are cooking an egg.

    Tell the ungrateful to cook their own breakfast, grab a cup of coffee, a book and go back to bed! We eat poached eggs 2 or 3 times a week. Ridiculous.

    breezeee answer is right but if you fried the eggs they are no longer eggs benedict.....and they should have worried more about the hollandiase sauce than the eggs

    No, poached eggs get cooked all the same.

  • Tell them you thought they were too fussy and you were trying to kill them. Next time go to their house for breakfast.
