Why does my broadband disconnect frequently?
I just got a new DSL modem today and i get disconnected maybe every 15 to 20 minutes.And each time,i ll have to switch off the main switch and turn it on again before i ll be able to connect to the internet.My IP in Malaysia is really screwed up and are giving me the run around.My operatins system is XP service pack 2.

i assume you mean your isp is giving you the run around. when your internet goes down, before you restart the modem, go to your command prompt(start->run->cmd) and type ipconfig. what kind of ip are you getting? do you have another computer that you could try hooking up to the modem? it might be your computer. but you can try calling the dsl company and ask to speak to a manager. basically do not hang up until they can give you an answer. whomever installed your modem may not have set it up properly. good luck!

too lots lines are related. often a 256KB connection is dispensed to 4 human beings on the cost of sixty 4 KBps. If too lots human beings subscribe, with out increasing the band width the operators supply connections to all. Like a cable community which provides clean and sharp photos in easy terms after 12 pm. Sundays you have lot of disturbances and breaks with the aid of lot of visitors.
