Does anyone know how to SAFELY remove hard water spots from car windows and door?

I have hard water spots on my car window and door and its almost impossible to remove! I've tried vinegar and thought it fades them, I can still see the spots! Does anyone have any ideas?

I used CLR for the windows but it might be too strong for the paint on the door!!! I also used a carpeter's razor to scrape the a few of them!!!

Very safe, but a bit labor intensive---

Purchase POLISHING compound. It looks like cream cheese and is very gentle on paint and glass. Follow the instructions EXACTLY and do not use excessive pressure. It is safe for the glass as well.

DO NOT use RUBBING compound. It looks like terra cotta. This is for a different purpose, and it is much too coarse and harsh for your paint, and will certainly scratch and scar the paint and glass.

An option to both is MOTHER"S aluminum polish. This can be used for all sorts of etching in glass and paint.

If the marks are just a water spot, usually water & vinegar in a 50 / 50 concentration works well, but won't take out the etching.

    Good Luck

On your windows use a good cleaner and scrub with a fine steel wool pad it will not scratch the windows surface. Paint I would use rubbing compound and buff them off.
