Not a question!!! Let's get this ever burnning hell, a place of torment for ever out of the way.......?

What kind of God would torment people for ever and ever??????

Show me the scripture>>>>>>>There is no ever burnning hell where people will be tormented day and night for ever. There are two Greek words translated hell in the Kings James new testament.

Hades {hah'-dace}which means grave. Geenna {gheh'-en-nah} which should have been rendered "Gehenna" or "Gehenna of fire". This was originally the valley of Hinnom, south of Jerusalem, where the filth and dead animals of the city were cast out and burned; a fit symbol of the wicked and their future destruction.

An Italian Florentine poet, Durante degli Alighieri, better known as Dante Alighieri or just Dante, June 1, 1265 – September 13/14, 132, created the idea of the hell that is taught to the world. The Catholic Church grabed it and ran with it. The protestants appear to believe all things which the Catholics speak.

God tells us there will be a one time punishment, not an eternal punishing. Yes it has to do with fire, a fire that consumes. A fire that burns up......

Malachi 4:1 For, behold, the day is coming, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yes, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day thats coming shall burn them up, say's the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.

Malachi 4:3 And you shall tread down the wicked; for they shall be ashes under the soles of your feet in the day that I shall do this, say's the LORD of hosts.

Revelation 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.

Notice: A second death, not life in an ever burnning fire.

Show me the scripture describing an ever burning hell and I will believe..... By the way Jesus was born in the Month of October...There is no way of knowing how many wise men there were. The Sabbath is the seventh day of the week. Jesus was in the tomb three day's and nights not two nights and one day. Mat 12:40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Have a good day......

God also said to Adam, "See this fire kindled by Satan around your cave; see this wonder that surrounds you; and know that it will encompass about both you and your descendants, when you obey his command; that he will plague you with fire; and that you will go down into hell after you are dead.

Then you will see the burning of his fire, that will be burning around you and likewise your descendants. You will not be delivered from it until My coming; just like you cannot go into your cave right now because of the great fire around it; not until My Word comes and makes a way for you on the day My covenant is fulfilled.

There are actually three words translated hell in the bible, the third being tartaros, the prison.

However, the lake of fire is symbolic not literal. The fires of Gehenna were used originally to sacrifice to pagan Gods. Then the Jews captured them and kept them burning by throwing refuse on them. They were kept going as a symbolic remeberance. The fires of the lake of fire represent cleansing (fire purifies), victory (fire represents victory) over the enemy, and the self destruction of evil (the enemy will burn himself out).

And Jesus Christ was actually born on September the 11th 3BC at about 6-7pm EST. The 'star' was a conjunction of planets and the magi were first alerted by a series of 'signs' in the heavens includin another conjunction of planets.

The whole story of the birth of christ has been written in the stars since the universe was created.

Jesus was describing a burning hell, and your own scripture passages prove it.

The "second death" is exactly that - death. It's meant to describe the difference between life in heaven and life in hell. To live in hell is the same as living in death, which is why it was described that way. Most people only think of hell as fire and heat, which is partly correct. When we talk about hell, we first must understand that this is an eternal realm of the spirit. It has nothing to do with the flesh. We are talking straight soul here. What happens to your soul is eternal punishment and torture. You are cut off from the love and light of God, suffering in pure hate and disgust and vileness. This is a weak attempt at describing it but it's close.

    Why would God do this?

The better question is, why would we CHOOSE this.

Yes, WE choose hell (or heaven). We either damn ourselves or we free ourselves. How? Those who choose to love God and obey His commandments and love one another have made a decision. That decision is to follow Him and surrender ourselves to Him. Those who choose to reject Him have also made a decision. The consequences of that decision are of their own making, not God's.

So once you understand what the deal is, then you know what you need to do if you want to go to heaven.

    God bless.

Hell is much more then a firey pit. It is an absense of God's love. If you want to, imagine heaven as a party you want to get into. Hell is you standing at the gates, looking up at the long driveway. You can see the house, hear the music, but you will never be there. Torment beyond anything your soul can imagine. I had a priest explain it to me, and that's what he said.

"Then He will answer them, `Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me. These will go away into ETERNAL PUNISHMENT, but the righteous into eternal life." (Matt 25:45-46)
