What is the easiest way to stop my puppy to from chewing on fingers, and everything else in site.?
I've got this puppy and no matter what I do to divert her attention from chewing/nipping she still chews on everything else. I've tried the firm "NO" and look her in the eyes untill she looks away, and the loud "OUCH" and stick a toy or bone in her mouth, but she still tries to chew on everything else, and now she is starting to nip at my 3 and 4 year old children (she is now pinned up when they are at home). I really need to break her of this habbit (nipping at my children) as soon as possible or else I'm going to need to get rid of her.
Also, any tips on paper training/house breaking would also be greatly appreciated.

this is why research is important before you get a pup.
pups LIKE BABIES teeth! your puppy is chewing because it FEELS GOOD. chew toys LOTS and LOTS of chew toys! *they will also loose their baby teeth* that is why they chew for a few years at least.
you need to get your puppy in a puppy class, obedience training. that is just for basic training, and is VERY helpful! as for potty training. it takes patients, and TIME! sometimes up to a year to fully train a puppy, depending on the time you put in and the attitude you have about it.
again...puppy potty training is like potty training a toddler. ups and downs.
and just like kids...they won't figure it out on their own, they need guidance. if they don't get a kind, patient helping hand....they will never learn.
your kids are VERY young. kids that young don't understand the boundaries that dogs need. as the puppy gets older, he may turn those nips into bites if your kids are not supervised around him/her AND esp. if your puppy does NOT get obedience classes.
the BIGGEST reason that children are bitten by a dog is that children ARE NOT taught the boundaries of a dog, how to behave around the dog. the dog is seen as the guilty one in the matter, and that is usually not the case. children don't mean to harm, and the dog doesn't want to either. but when a child is climbing or pulling hair and the dog starts to feel scared, it's flight or fight.
that is instinct, nothing more.
i would definitely get your dog into obedience training. and i would NEVER let your children play unsupervised around the dog.
i would also start NOW on teaching your children how to respect the puppy's space. most puppy classes are good about teaching that. and in some places shelters or even petco or petsmart offer FREE puppy classes, its a good investment.

The first thing I would do is buy some spray that will discourage her from biting on everything in the house. I guess it has a bad taste or something. You can buy it at Wal-Mart , Rite- aid or just about anywhere. Next, as hard as it is, you need to be persistent. Do not give up. Every time you catch her chewing on something, stand directly over her, snap your fingers and tell her no. If she won't stop , move her away from the object and give her another chew toy. Do not allow her to go back to that object. If she tries, continue to pull her away. Eventually she will give up. You have to let her know that you are the boss. Praise her when she does what you want. But in the meantime, buy some no chew spray and put it on the furniture and other objects around the house because I know it is hard for you to watch her every minute, with kids and all. On the paper training thing, again you have to be persistent. Placce the puppy pads, or paper in the area you want her to go. Let her smell the pads and place her on one of them. When yo catch her using the bathroom elsewhere, tell her no, pick her up and sit her on the pad. This does take some time so be patient. And good luck.

My mum taps them on the nose with what they are chewing. Do a firm tap but don't injure or belt them. If u hit them to hard they will be scared of that certain object. My dog spanner chewed on shoes but he has stopped completely. Hope this helps

to prevent the puppy from chewing on furniture and objects I always used a product called bitter apple spray. you can purchase it at a pet store and it tastes horrible. You could even go as far as to spray it on your hands to prevent the puppy from chewing on you. It's all natural and just tastes horrible (I tasted it, yea curiosity got the best of me) so it immediately distinguishes the habit.

shes teething just like any other baby...get on old facecloth, wet it & freeze it...let her chew on that..also get her some chew toys of her own..but dont stop telling her no, punish her if you have to (i dont mean beat her) when she nips..she goes to "jail" and when shes nice she doesnt
