26 weeks pregnant with bad back pain help!!?
I am currently 26 weeks pregnant and have been having really really bad back pain enough to bring me to tears,What can i do to help with this pain besides take tylenol everyday ??
Yes i am having a girl..i didnt know the sex could make a difference can it?

I am as far along as you and I know what you mean! I had back pain before my pregnancy an the pain now is almost unbearable. Have you spoken with your doctor about any options?
My suggestion is to do what I do: Go gt a prenatal massage. A lot of places offer them, they are totally safe, and they are excellent in relieving tension and back pain (and honestly, they're not that expensive)

I had terrible back pains since I was around 4 months and believe me they dont get any better as your pregnancy progresses. I'm 9 months pregnant and sometimes my back aches so bad that I cant even turn over in bed! Its possible that your baby is positioned up against your spine and putting all its weight on it. The best thing for you to do is lay of the tylenol and get a heating pad. They really help. Good Luck!!!!!!

Ughhhhh I so know what you mean. I'm 35 weeks and I'm almost on the verge of tears with my back pain too. When I get out of bed and stretch it hurts SO bad! I don't know what to do. I DONT recommend you take Tylenol all day tho. Even tho DC says Tylenol is okay for baby, I wouldn't use it all day! I recommend you get a prenatal message. Alot of message places do it. It may not last till you deliver, but it will help. (I'm getting one this weekend, and cant wait) Best of luck to you! I do feel your pain!

I also really battled with bad back pain. My hubby used to rub it every night with arnica oil after I had had a hot bath. It seemed to relieve it a bit. I also tried a heat pad but not very often because it was the middle of summer. Unfortunately you are going to have to live with it until your baby joins you in this world! But believe the pain is all worth it in the end!!!

also try laying on your left side. This will help the blood circulate better and it will take away a little of the pain. (at least for me it was a little) I had 2 but I also have herniated disks so I know what you are going through. It will be over before you know it (but not soon enough) and well worth it. All the other comments are also great advice. (I also work in healthcare)

Ask your doctor. Maybe a back massager for your favorite chair and bed. Elevate you feet. Just some suggestions. Take it easy on the Tylenol. I've always preferred Excedrin but you would need to clear it with your doctor before you try it.

If its lower back pains id be strait off to the hospital to make sure its not preterm labour.
I went into spontenious labor around the same time, no show or waters breaking....just low back pain...and then gave birth to a very tiny baby !
and if its not labour...
If it has you in tears it sounds awful, you need to see a doctor or chiropractor and have it fixed before it causes you too much pain and stress !

I am too!!! I can barely get up from a chair and sleeping at night is out of the question. Can I ask you a question? Are you having a girl????
But a heating pad or warm bath can ease it. But they said if you stretch it like a cat does it helps. They say get on your all fours and arch your back like a cat helps.

A warm bath or heating pad can help. Also try rolling up a beach towell and sitting and sleeping with it in the small of you back, the first few days it might be uncomfortable but it will help.

It may well be back labor. Well, in your case, braxton hicks contraction. I had them with my second from about 22 weeks until i gave birth. Talk to you doctor and let him/her know what is going on. If its just back pain, best thing to do, is make sure you sleep with a body pillow between your legs, and if you sleep on your back, make sure your legs are elevated.
