Getting lousy answers? Here's a possible solution...?

I got a very angry email from a questioner about an 'insensitive' answer I posted. The problem is that the question made no suggestion of the seriousness of the issue and quite frankly seemed like many postings here...just posted to get a reaction.

When informed of the circumstances of the question (circumstances not posted), I had to agree that, in that case, my reply was insensitive, but, how was I to know?

People PLEASE>>> if you want serious answers to serious questions, provide some detail concerning the problem.

Comments welcome.

I absolutely agree in this case. If the question was not explained properly, how do you know to give heart felt advise, or just a yup/nope answer...as WE ALL have done, I am sure....or even a smart as* answer because it sounds like an idiotic question.

Also...if the question poses so much emotional strain on the person...why oh why are they posting it on this forum for all these nut-baggers to read and give advise on?

That is a great suggestion, I would also like to add that people should not take things so personally, when you post a question you are getting the opinions of a variety of different people with different ideas. I also got a very rude and nasty email from a person who posted a question and felt that my answer was childish so, she called me a skank. How childish is that. I did not take it personally however, I know who I am, and really felt sorry for her, she obviously needs to grow up and stop being so sensitive and not posting questions if the answers are going to upset her and she is going to have a panic attack over the answers she does not agree with. She presented a question about office politics and the fact that a receptionists in the office may or may not have sucker bites/ hickeys on her neck. What should she do. I said find some business to attend to . Because if she was management she would know how to handle the situation in a mature manner and would not be posting the question here looking for an answer. Have a great day.

well you have to understand that this site is for fun, and for some to get an opinion. I admit some people ask silly, silly questions just to get some attention, i dont even bother answering those, because i feel if i dont like the question or the question is not on my level, i dont bother at all. Now for people who ask questions that you dont like or that you think they should already know, or even they didnt ask it appropriately. I dont think you would help the situation by being nasty or rude. Sometimes people dont know how to explain or tell the story. We cant fault people for that, just try to bare with them, who cares if they are not serious, and are trying to play with your intelligence. If yoiu click to answer the question, just answer it with sincerity. After all you are the one that click on "Answer this question"

i grow to be violated thrice, as quickly as I can comprehend because of the fact i grow to be being stupid. notwithstanding the different 2 situations have been as quickly as I asked particular questions, one a pair of actual looking value to pay a information superhighway website sales representative and the different a pair of stable business enterprise that delivers 800 service. those 2 questions have been taken down so immediately it taken aback and surprised me because of the fact the questions approximately cooking cats or canines look to proceed to be up for a collectively as. Now, I only oftentimes answer questions.

the trouble with people these days is that they are all so "sensitive" . harry truman said "if you can;t stand the heat get out of the kitchen". NOBODY forces them to come to this forum. neither do they force them to ask a question, nor answer a question. we simply cannot take into consideration every feeling and whim of everyone here or in life. I think they should take a heavy dose of maturity and GROW UP !!!

I asked some serious questions and I still get stupid answers.

I think the only solution would be to go ask questions somewhere else.

I don't know about you, but I am endlessly amused that people would feel so moved by my smart-a ss answers to these dopey questions that they would take time out to compose an e-mail.

Just ignore that moron. He's the pathetic type that has to get mad to make himself feel important.

Great advice though. It does sound like the guy isn't worth getting upset over.

I don't worry about things like that. If people get their panties all twisted up into knots it's their problem not mine. After all, this is not a psychiatric loon-bin service here, is it?
