The Yahoo answers text box is obviously formatted in a certain font (Ariel?). If you tried to do the same thing and paste to MS notepad (without changing font to Lucida Sans Unicode ) you will get the block as well. Unfortunately, theres nothing you can do about it.

You could represent the cube root as ³√ ,

which is the superscript 3 character plus the radical.

You could represent the fourth root as ^¼

(I tend not to do this myself as my screen resolution is high and the superscripts and vulgar fraction characters are difficult to see. I just use ^(1/3) or ^(1/4).)

The dice root surely takes an impression and divides through 3. for the reason that 16 is two^4, it ought to nevertheless be decreased. 2^(3/3)*2^(a million/3)=2 * dice-root(2) in case you ever have a question about somewhat a kind is able to be decreased, then examine if any of the powers are a minimum of the inspiration you want to take. because the statement 4=>3 is real, it really is worry-free to cut back 16, as an celebration. ::EDIT:: Nicolas, the poster needed the dice root of 16, no longer 16. in case you do the dice root with Calc.exe or such, then you actually will see that dice-root of 16 is two times the dice-root of two.

    ³√

This is a combination of ³ and √

    or

    x^¼ or x^⅓

as for me, i just put it as 4thrt(x) or x^(1/4), or cbrt(x) or x^(1/3)
