Assuming everything's correct on them, file them away. If you signed a promissary note online, you definitely need to keep that in a safe place. That's your contract for taking out a loan. You'll also need a copy of your financial aid papers when applying next year and possibly for tax reasons.

If you filed the FAFSA online you already signed the agreement. So when you get the copy make sure you keep them in a safe place. You may need them for the upcoming years of school.

Source(s): I work for a college financial aid company.

Look over the student aid report and see if any info is missing. Your college will probably contact you in a couple of weeks, when your info is downloaded in their database. DId you list the right school code?

Keep a copy of them. Also keep a copy of the promissory note you signed. These are financial forms that you might need in the future. It's better to have them & not need them than need them & not have them.
