How long after you get your green card can you apply for citizenship??

    You have to reside in the US as a resident for at least 5 years and during that time you cannot leave US for a total of more than a year.

    I do not know about after green card, but maybe after you started living in U.S. Probably after 4 or 5 years you stayed in U.S, you can start applying for a citizenship.
