  • How to effectively lose overall body fat?

    Hi,

I need some advice about how to effectively tone and decrease overall body fat. Some info on me:

I am a 5 foot one 1 inch tall female. I’m 27 years old and have a petite frame and bone structure. 4 years ago, I ballooned to 132 pounds due to poor eating habits and a slowing metabolism. Throughout the last few years, I have lost the 32 pounds and now weight about 100 pounds. Now, I am trying to tone overall and lose as much body fat as possible. I am pear shaped so therefore, I carry more weight on my hips and thighs (though none on my butt). So, I’ve never had a gut due to the pear shape. I have a 25.5 inch waist and a 32 in inch hip measurement. Based on my BMI calculation, it is currently at 18.2 which puts me at low/moderate risk for heart disease and cholesterol. I am NOT attempting to lose any weight. I simply want to get toned and try to decrease my BMI to below 18.

    My workouts:

Running for 40 minutes 5 days a week

Stair Master for 20 minutes 5 days a week

    Planks 3 days a week

5 pound free weights for arms 5 days a week

    Eating Habits:

I eat mostly whole grains and lean proteins

Try to eat a ton of veggies

I do cheat and eat something bad on occassion

Now, here’s my issue: Are my workouts consistent to what I am trying to achieve? I want to tone, decrease BMI and gain more muscle. Should I decrease the cardio and add in more strength training? Am I running too much? I don’t want to burn the muscle that I’ve gained in the past month or so.

Also, I would like some real help and honest answers. I don’t have any body image issues. I’m simply trying to get a better perspective and see if I’m working out properly.

    Thank you.

  • I need a workout to lose love handles and slight belly bulge.?

I am a 24 year old girl. I'm 5 foot 1. I weigh 113 pounds. I've been working out intensely for 2 months now. I lost 16 pounds so far. I do 1 hour cardio five days a week and eat under 1000 calories a day. I eat good carbs and do not drink any soda. But now I am to the point, where I want to lose another 10 pounds and also tone the belly/side belly area. What is the best way for that? I do crunches for the tummy but is there anything else for the "love handles"? My cardiio consists of running for 20 minutes straight (sometimes more) and then walking intensely for the rest (inclined at a high pace). Then I do 50 crunches and use dum bells to tone my arms. Any other better techniques? I would really like to tone and lose the additional 10 pounds. Thank you!

  • Are there any side effects of puppy wormer medications?

I gave my dog "D-Worm" for roundworms and hookworks. Infact I gave it to both of my dogs. They're about 6 and 8 months old. I noticed they started drinking alot more water than usual about an hour after I gave the meds. Other than the thirst, there was nothing else out of the ordinary. Is excessive thirst sometimes common? Should I be worried? (Note: I also administered flea medication to both dogs, but made sure it that they did not lick it or each other.)

  • How do I potty train my 5 month old Bichon to go in the same place all the time (indoors)?

He's a 5 month old Bichon and we've been having some difficulty with getting him to go consistently in the same place. As far as going number 2, he's very consistent. He doesn't have accidents, but getting him to pee in the same place is so hard. We have pee-pee pads for him and reduced his living quarters til he gets it right, but he still has accidents. If the number of accidents were less than the consistencies, then it would be okay seeing as I know he's improving, but it's not. When we're not home, he does go in the right place because he has nowhere else to go but there. But when we are home, and he's roming around following me, he goes wherever. Footnote: he is very smart as he's trained with everything else, but I've heard Bichon's in particular are reluctant to be house broken. Also, we just got another puppy, but this problem was already there before we got the other pup. Thanks everyone!

  • How can I get my 5 month old Bichon Frise pup to stop eating his poop?

He eats it when we we're not at home. We don't know why he does this. He's such a smart dog in all aspects except that he eats his poop. When we are at home, probably the only reason why he doesn't eat it, is because we clean it right away before he gets the chance to do so. He is well fed and always has snacks and kibble and plenty of water. We thouhght that maybe he just doesn't like his kibble but he eats that just fine. He's not sick or anything. But what could cause this? And how do I get him to stop?

  • How can I care for my Bichon Frise fur?

He's 3 1/2 months old and his hair is not yet frizzy but it is getting thick and matted. We bathe him constantly to keep him clean and we brush him daily but the fur is still not becoming tamed over time. It seems as if his fur is getting wilder and wilder everyday. Should he get a cut? Is there something I could use to make his fur more manageable?

  • I have Green Card. I just got married and my husband needs to be petitioned. Can I do it with my Green Card?

I have seen information that a citizen or green card holder can petition their spouse for an adjustment of status. Is this true? If anyone knows about how this works please help me out. Are there limitations? Must I be a citizen?

  • Internet WIFI problem?

I just got a lap tob and it is wifi capable. It says that I am connected with a very strong signal to one of the broadband access paths that my apartment provides us but I can't seem to get the web page to up load everytime I try to get on line. I have gotten on line but it is so difficult and sometimes takes me ages with many attempts. Anything I'm doing wrong? It's not my comp.. Are there settings that I need to change? I'm not computer literate. I can get by but not without help. If it helps, I have a Dell Notebook.. Pentium M.. It's an Insipron with a 1 gig of memory.. Don't know if you needed all that. But just to clarify, my wifi is actually connected with a very good signal strength.. At least this is what it says when I check it. Any other reasons why I can't get on line?

  • My fiancee and I just moved together.?

We just had a huge argument because his mother found aparking ticket violation in her car when I was using it. I have no doubt it was me but I simply didn't remember even getting the violation. I thought it was another apartment general notice and disregarded it. I didn't even think about it and left it along with my mail in her car. Now months later, she finds it and thinks I tried to hide it from her. This bothers me because I would never do something like that. Secondly, if I truly wanted to hide it, I don't think that putting it along with my things and leaving it in her car is the smartest way to go. And third, the DMV sends out notices stating that there a ticket issued so there would be no need for me to even hide it. And lastly, I would would never knowingly do this but she's just so upset and thinks I lied to her. What do I do? Even my fiancee was upset because it has causes a strain in the relationship. But I don't think this is fair to me either because its an honest mistake

  • Eye Lid Problem?

My left eye lid is weird. The natural crease sometimes gets caved in and isn't visible.. But for the most part, it is there.. When it does cave in, it is very uncomfortable for me as it looks weird since it makes it seem appear that I have one smaller eye than the other. Makes it difficult to wear make up. The only way I can get the crease to come back is by inducing crying before going to bed.. For some reason it makes my eyes puffy and allows the crease to come back the next day.. Now that it seems to be back for good, I'm afraid to rub my eye fearing that it will go away. What causes this? Can I fix it? What options do I have?

  • Ladies... Please help me with this one:?

My fiancee has this classmate who has a thing for him. He has told her that he has a fiancee and not at all interested. He even brought me to his evening class once just so she can get the hint that he is simply taken and really NOT interested.. She is still persistent and very bothersome.. Just on a side note, we're college students so this isn't a highschool thing.. In fact I'm a college grad so this seems ridiclulous.. What, if anything do I do here? On another side note, the girl is butt freakin' unattractive.. not that it matters :-)
