Are there any side effects of puppy wormer medications?
I gave my dog "D-Worm" for roundworms and hookworks. Infact I gave it to both of my dogs. They're about 6 and 8 months old. I noticed they started drinking alot more water than usual about an hour after I gave the meds. Other than the thirst, there was nothing else out of the ordinary. Is excessive thirst sometimes common? Should I be worried? (Note: I also administered flea medication to both dogs, but made sure it that they did not lick it or each other.)

Was it from the vet or OTC dewormer.

This is a over the counter wormer containing pyrantel pamoate, its fairly safe given at the right dosage but should not be mixed with some other meds. The box should have a phone number and vet to ask questions of. You can also call your regular vet. Tell them what the dosage given was, the dogs weight, the dosage contained in each ml or pill of medication and what flea med was given.

did you get the medication from a reputable vet?
did you follow instructions to the T?
did you call the vet to ask this question or are you relying on us to give you the right answer?

If you still have the box, give that a look otherwise there isn't to my knowledge any side affects.
