Check out the Belle Meade plantation. See a show at the Station Inn (Sunday nights they have a free jam and you never know who might show up!), walk around downtown (there some some historical things to see. Check out the replica of the Parthenon in Centennial Park. There are some Civil War battle grounds if you are into that. The Hermitage is not a far drive... a little farther is the Jack Daniel's distillery (about 1.5 hours), see the Ryman Auditorium (one of the original Oprys) and then you can go to the Opryland hotel (which is incredible, a sight in itself), and then see a show at the Grand Old Opry... take a ride on that riverboat, I forget its name.

Grab lunch at Roteirs (it's a hole in the wall... but the cheeseburger is what Jimmy Buffet is singing about in Cheeseburger in Paradise). Margot's is my favorite place to eat there... it's in east Nashville, but the best food in Nashville... and the menu changes every day!

For a hike, walk around Radnor Lake up Granny White Drive (it turns into something else I think... but you can find directions on the Internet I bet)... the leaves should be changing soon and it would be beautiful up there. Percy Warner park is good too, but I prefer Radnor Lake.

    Have Fun!

Take a walk downtown past all of the "honkytonks." There are tons of bars and live music, plus you are right near historic landmarks like the Ryman Auditorium. Take a drive through the older historic districts and visit the locals favorite hotspots.

Go to the Old Spaghetti Factory...might be a bit expensive but they have *really* good food.
