Who agrees that the owner of the 49ers is running the team so he can make more money for himself?
The Niners last year ranked 7th in the NFL in revenue. With that money, he could be bringing in better players and give Alex Smith something to work with.

i have been a 49er fan for life and John York has been a stinker ever since he came here. Eddie D was the best, even though the NFL has a salary cap, there is no limit in issuing signing bonuses and guaranteed money and Eddie D was the master, he brought in free agents left and right which contributed to all the dead money we have had the last couple of years but at least he was trying to build a winner. York is interested only in making a profit and has no interest in the product on the field as long as the seats keep getting filled. many local columnits like ray ratto also agree with me on this point

The NFL has a salary cap, so it's not like he can open his wallet and spend hundreds of millions of dollars to buy a championship.
The way George Steinbrenner keeps trying to do in NY.
Alex Smith is just a kid, he will certainly get better with experience. Smith is not the problem, the Niners need a major upgrade on defense. They let a backup QB in Huard run all over them yesterday.

Why the hell else would you buy a football team then to make money? To lose money? I don't think so.
Football is big business. Even if one of your players has to take pills and try and kill himself or another player stomps on another guys head to get attention from the media. It fills seats in stadiums.

kind of makes you think he overhauled the roster with trash he is getting rid of his team just when if they stayed together they will be better than they are now whos gone T.O, John Engleberger, Andre Carter, TY steets, brandon loyd, julian peterson, mike rumph, cedric wilson, kevin barlow, ibelive if the kept some of them people the will be at least a 6 or 7 win team I thought they rebuilt already questionable owenership.
