Thinking of starting a retail store that sells only american made products.?

The idea is to cater to the middle class family and sell products that are hand made, gifts, small furniture, pictures, books, etc, that inspire family values, etc.

+ Good idea. I think that your number one problem will be to sell your family values idea as most people go for low price and it sounds like what you want to sell will be more than the items produced by slave and child labor.

Good luck and let everyone know where your store is when it opens

You might be surprised to find you might not have a big selection of stuff. My worst experience was just after 9/11 in atlantic city new jersey. Everyone wanted an american flag so I picked one up and saw it was made in China. I left it on the pile. I know there are places in this country that make flags. Just wish that place would have used an american supplier.

I think you're going to have a very difficult time becoming successful. Yes, you will survive and you will be able to sell products. But you will be limited because you will not be able to compete on price against cheaper foreign made products.

More and more companies are outsourcing their production to foreign companies like china.

    Excellent idea!

Maybe get a amazon.com link to your website? Also sell on Ebay!
