Mane and Tail is an excellent line of products (and a big beauty insider secret!). They are also very reasonably priced too! If you have thin hair which also needs added moisturizing and protection from damage, then this is a great line to try. It will not necessarily make you hair appear thicker however.
Another great line you may want to try is from Ojon. They have a thickening hydrating line and it's available on sephora, ojon's site and qvc where they also have great deals!

Mane and Tail is not that different from most conditioners. It used to be ultra cheap when I was a kid. My guy friend buys it because he likes anything to do with horses... It does not make his hair any thicker. I have thin hair. On days when I need a bit more volume I tend to use a little less conditioner and a bit of mousse at the roots...Blow dry... that's my only solution after almost 30 years.

Sweetie. I do feel your pain! My natural color is red, and I look like a bald old man doing a 5-hair comb-over! I keep it colord light blonde to minimize the balding look and take mega doses of folic acid, which makes it grow faster, and re-grow where it's broken. Mane and Tail is just a topical use item, it'll make it feel thicker while you use it, but it doesn't make your hair thicker. Hair is dead once it's come out of the scalp, only the roots are alive. If your hair has been like that all your life (not just recently started getting thin) you are probably pretty well stuck with what you have. Vitamins - like pre-natal, and folic acid will help it grow faster (fertilizer!!) but your genes are what decides if you have thick or thin hair. Personally I'm lucky: mine is not only thin, it's baby-fine; feels silky like baby hair, which makes it EVEN THINNER! (cue the tiny violin for the pity party!). If your hair has just recently started getting thinner, you can try minoxidil (Rogaine) which may help. It's no use though, on hair that is naturally thin and/or fine. On that, I have experience. It just made me sick.
